Vera van Elsacker

Dear future parents,

I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Vera, I am 34 years old, and I have been working as a midwife with great passion for 12 years now. Over the years, I have had the privilege of guiding countless parents through one of the most special periods of their lives: pregnancy, birth, and the time afterwards.

I am also the mother of a beautiful daughter, which means I know from both my profession and personal experience how special, and sometimes challenging, this period can be.

As a true Almere local, I feel strongly connected to the region. I was even born in Flevoziekenhuis. I bring that local involvement into my work, where personal attention and trust are central.

I also really enjoy creating the podcast Verloscast, where I discuss everything related to pregnancy and birth. In this way, I love sharing my knowledge and experience beyond the consultation room as well.
